SBDC Partners with EKU's Psychology Department to offer Human Resource Workshop Series
The EKU SBDC partnered with the university's Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology program for the second consecutive year to offer a series of human resources workshops.
Associate Professor Dr. Jerry Palmer assigns his students a semester-long project on a human resources related topic. At the end of the semester, the students conduct an official SBDC workshop based on their respective topic. These workshops are open to the public and presented to SBDC clients and contacts.
This past semester, a series of four workshops were provided in late April and early May. The topics discussed ranged from employment law to job analysis to providing appropriate employee feedback. The program attendees are excited at the depth of information covered by the students in the workshops.
Students participating in the spring semester included: Chase Adams, Perry Barnes, Chasiti Brooks, Adam Bunnell, Arian Green, Dorothy Johnson, Aneeta Noorani and Amie Sparks.
This workshop series will be offered again during the fall 2013 semester. Watch for details in the SBDC newsletter.
